I love puzzles! Being able to take pieces and try to fit them together is so satisfying. Taking what you thought would go together and then realizing it was never supposed to be that way at all is eye opening. Being able to take those pieces and put them together to create a beautiful picture is what I love the most.
Being able to be in control of something. Let's be honest, that's probably why I enjoy it as well.
The other day I was studying the story of Hagar in the Bible... when you can read Genesis Ch. 15 and 16. You want to talk about putting pieces together that don't fit?! Hagar's story is a prime example. A perfect description of taking matters into your own hands as opposed to waiting on the Lord's timing. Abram and Sarai were very old. However, the Lord promised them a child, many descendants actually, in their seasoned age (Genesis 15:5). But they didn't believe Him, and instead Sarai gave Hagar (her servant) to Abram so they could have a child that way. Only that didn't work out the way they planned it. They tried forcing pieces in their life together to get a certain outcome.

There was a problem though, that wasn't what the Lord had planned. And while he blessed the mess they made, they forgot who was in control. They got tired of waiting on God's timing and decided to operate on their own timing. Now how many of us can relate?
If you are going through a season of waiting. It seems like the Lord is taking His time maybe. Or it may feel like He has forgotten you. Just know that He hasn't. He will work out whatever it is in your life that you feel is delayed or never going to happen. He WILL fulfill all His promises to you.
Remember He is the Ultimate puzzle solver. I mean He created the pieces! I don't know about you, but I'll take the Creator over the created any day.

Trust in the Lord and His timing. He won't fail you!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
