Being of the Lord and in the world

It's nap time for my son. Usually during that time, I have a list of things that need to be done. Today was no different, accept that I felt the need to just sit. To not be busy doing. Just sitting and waiting for the Lord to tell me what to do.
I started out my sitting by reading my devotion. I hadn't done that in quite some time. The devotion was good, and it came from 1 Corinthians 15:39. As I was turning my bible to that scripture the Lord stopped me at 1 Corinthians 2. More specifically chapter 2 verse 16.
" For,
"Who can know the Lord's thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?"
But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ."
What does it mean to have the 'mind of Christ'? that was my first thought. So, I looked up the word 'Of'. One of the definitions Webster Dictionary gives is this "Used as a function word to indicate the whole that includes the part denoted by the preceding word". So, to be of something is to a piece of a whole. To have the mind of Christ means to be a part of Him. Us being the pieces and Him being the Whole.
Ya'll that alone made me get up to type this blog! it's so good! What a beautiful reminder that we are a part of God.
That should give us comfort. Living in this world has its challenges, but when we remember WHO we are a part of, that should give us peace. It should remind us that because we belong to the Lord... Him being the whole and us being the pieces... we experience everything WITH Him. He is right there with us. And to have the mind of Christ we see things in the spirit AND the natural. That gives us supernatural understanding of things, causing us to not be moved by the world so easily.
The Lord makes us whole, by being a part of Him. Isn't that something?! We can find hope in that.
Be Blessed!
